Cruse Bereavement Care Buckinghamshire is proud to announce its third annual seminar on Saturday March 10, 2012 in the John Hampden Grammar School auditorium, Marlow Hill, High Wycombe HP11 1SZ (very close to Exit 4 of the M40) from 10am to 4pm.
Following the successful seminars by Sir Richard Bowlby (2009) and Colin Murray Parkes (2010), David Trickey will host a two part seminar on Understanding Traumatic Bereavement and What we know helps bereaved children and young people.
David comes to us with the reputation of an exceptional speaker on both these topics. He will be bringing handouts to accompany his presentation. More information...
1.) The Awareness in Bereavement Care (ABC) Course
The ABC Course has been designed specifically for Cruse volunteers, to equip them with the awareness, skills and knowledge to offer the range of services that Cruse now provides.
The foundation course is divided into 16 three-hour sessions and it does not assume any prior training or experience.
This course has been accredited by OCNW at level2.
2.) Understanding Bereavement Course
This course is held, usually yearly and is open to those who have a diploma in counselling or working towards one.
This short course is designed to cover all aspects of loss and bereavement and gives the student a greater understanding of grief. It enables those who already have counselling skills/ experience to work with the bereaved in a more meaningful way.
